The class took out Chromebooks to do reader's workshop. Then we opened our notebooks to week 8 QQSL. We listened to "*** Flawless" by Beyonce and Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Then, we left class.

We need to put on the form how are doing in her class, what have we done so far, and what grade we have. After that, we did the lines of the week ''We Real Cool'' by Gwendolyn Brooks. Then, we packed up and left.

We walked into Ms. Nakada's class. The first thing we did was take out our binder reminders. Then, Alexa read her blog, and she called on me. Then, after Ms. Nakada passed out our Inside Out & Back Again papers. After we worked on it for 10 minutes, we opened up our chrome books to do our Inside Out & Back Again AR quiz. Soon after, we had a lock-down drill. While we were doing it we were doing our quiz at the same time. Last, Ms. Nakada came around to collect our paper.

We came into class, took out our binder reminders, and started writing the agenda. After we had it written down, we took a minute. When the minute was over, we started talking about class dues, and our 8th grade field trip. We also talked about the requirements to go on the trip. When we were done, we took out our journals, and got started on the week 7 Q-Q-S-L the quote of this week was "Take all the courses in your curriculum. Do the research. Ask the questions. Be curious"by Katherine Johnson. Our question was How should we celebrate President's Day? When we were done reviewing that, we got started on our Inside Out & Back Again projects. Then, we packed up and left.

Today everyone sat down and started to write the agenda. Then, Aiden read his blog and he decided to choose me. After that, we all started to work on the Quote Question Song Lines. We were all listening to a song called "Strange Fruit" and it was by Billie Holiday. Then, we started to write what this song was about. After what we wrote what this song was about, Ms. Nakada handing out a poem and the title was called "I Too" by Langston Hughes. Ms. Nakada read the poem and told us what this poem was about. After that, we finished the poem we all started to work on I.O. & B.A essays. Once we finished the pink and brown paper of I.O. & B.A we started to work on the actual essay. Ms. Nakada asked us how some of us are gonna do this on Chromebook or on paper for the assignment. Then, Ms. Nakada showed us how to write or type the essay. Then, the bell rang, so we all pack up, and we all left the class.

We started off by walking into class and started witting into our binder reminders. Then, when we were done writing into our binder reminders, we started to take a minute. After when we were done taking our minute, then we pulled out our reading journals. After that, we were starting on the question for the week for quote, question, song, and lines. We started to talk about the quote for the week. Then, when we were done talking about the quote of the week then we started to work on the question of the week. And the question of the week is "Whose shoulders do you stand on? What do you stand for?" Then, when we were done writing the question, we started on the song of the week "Strange Fruit." Then, the bell rang, and then we backed up and left.

We walked into class after lunch and Da'Riyah read her blog. Then, to my surprise, she chose me. The bullying continues. We then proceeded into reader's workshop. Students wrote down their reading journals. Next, we started quote of the week which was, "Because being American is more than a pride we inherit-- it's the past we step into and how we repair it" by Amanda Gorman. Then, Ms. Graham came in because I had to go to a meeting and everyone finished class with reader's workshop again.

week 4: Quiz 

HW It's Groundhog Day! 


We walked into class and started to write down the agenda. Then Ms. Nakada, called me out for have a beanie in class and ask me to take a minute outside the room. When I came back in the room, she was done reading Sergio's blog and asking who hasn't done a fourth blog. What a coincidence. She picked me. After that, she came around and checked everybody's binder-reminders and reading journals. Later, we began our week 4 quiz. Afterwards, we began I.O.&.B.A essays we are using the method called ACE. A stands for answer the question C stands for cite text evidence E stands for explain how the evidence supports your answers. Our essays should be about fleeing or finding a home and how refugee and immigrants find and flee their homes. Then, we packed up and went home.

We did reader's workshop and then worked on our A.C.E.s for the Inside Out & Back Again essays. We read an article about refugee children.

Today, everyone came in Ms. Nakada's class and took their seats. Then, everyone started to take out their binder reminders and write down the agenda. After everyone finished writing the agenda, Jake went to read his blog. Then, when he finished he chose me to do the next blog. Then, everyone took out their computers and started to do iReady and IXL. And then Radan started to slap his thighs and make noises. After that, everyone took out their books and started to write the poem for QQSL. When everyone was done with their QQSL they started to work on the Inside Out And Back Again Essay. Then, we had a earthquake drill and everyone dropped and went under their desks. When the drill was over everyone got up and started working on the Inside Out And Back Again Essay. Then, we packed up and left.
