NaNo prep

We started off Ms. Nakada's class by getting greeted with a piece of candy. Once we came inside we all sat down and got to writing the agenda in our binder reminders. Soon after that, Aiden read his blog and we corrected it. After we corrected it Aiden sat back down and chose me for the blog. After that, Ms. Nakada came around to check our Creatober since today is the last day. Once she finished up on that we got into our Song and lines for the day. Our song of the week is, "The Story of My Life" by One Direction and the lines were the best first lines of a book. Once we were done writing that down we started to talk about things for our novel, like plots twists and conflicts. Once we finished that, the bell rang, and we packed up! Bye bye.

Then, we started on our quote, question, song, and lines for this week. Then, we started to create a NaNoWriMo account. Then, the fire alarm went off again, so we packed up and left.

Book Projects due Oct. 25th

    On the way to 6th period there was a student that had passed out, but we were told not to focus on it. When started off with Jerry reading his blog. After, we checked for any mistakes, but there wasn't any, and we got a point for it (good job Jerry)! Then, we started drawing for today's CreaTober. We started sharing our drawing, and Enrique drew an incredible, and memorable picture of Matthew. Next, we moved, and we pulled out our reading journals for Ms. Nakada to check. After that, we took out our letters for student-led conference night. Now, we began to write the second and third paragraphs. Next, we began to watch more of The Outsiders movie. We were given the option to continue writing while we were watching the movie. After that, we started to pack up, and the bell rang. We put up our chairs, and left.

For starting off class we took our binder reminder and wrote our agendas down. After that, Radan came up to read his blog, and we corrected the mistakes he made. We started doing our Creatober. Then, when we finished that, we started reading chapter 12 of The Outsiders. We then started doing the AR test on The Outsiders, but it took a little bit longer than usual because people started doing the test before Ms.Nakada said so.

Then, we packed up and handed our quick write to Ms. Nakada. Then, we left.

First we came in to class, then we sat down and Dariyah read her blog.  Ms. Nakada corrected it and we moved on to CreaTober.  We put post - its on page 137, 146, and read about Johnny's death.  After that, we took out our composition book and wrote down our 3 words in our composition or spiral book.  We wrote our line for our quote question song lines.  After that, we did a quick write about how the sunset is used as a symbol in The Outsiders. Then, we packed up and left.

Then, we wrote down our favorite lyrics from the song "Freedom" by Rage Against the Machine. Shortly after that, we cut and glued our poems into our Week 8 Q.Q.S.L. Lastly, we reviewed our iReady scores and we got a point for our class. Then, we packed up and left.
