Today, we started of by writing down the agenda. Then, Chanel came up and read her blog, after Ms. Nakada corrected Chanel's blog we past out the School Trip and the blue sheet. Then, we started to work on the A.C.E. book project. After, Ms. Nakada explained how she can relate to Jordan's mom with her kids. 

Then, We chose a Chapter and a prompt for the book project. After that, we packed up and left.

Today, We walked into Ms. Nakada Class we first started off with new seats, Then with our agendas, After that we went over Carlos's blog. After that, we opened our English notebooks and started our Week 6, reading journals where we record our books. Then, we turned to section A.C.E. We got handed a blue paper, and we choose chapter 4 of School trip.  

A. Maury's uses his privilege to fly first class.  

C. On page 79, Maury says, ''My dad never lets me fly coach.'' 

E. This shows how Maury's privilege allows him a more comfortable flight.  

Then, we turned to our table of contexts. Soon after we watched a little video of Elmo. We wrote things we are proud of. We talked about how we could celebrate Latin- American history. Finally We ended class and left.

After we took a minute, some of us were taking the AR test, and some of us were reading and get new books.

So then we went on the quiz that Ms. Nakada gave us that a lot of people needed to retake, and we packed up and left.

Then, Ms. Nakada gave us a poem from Langston Hughes called "Theme for English B." After that, we turned to the table of contents and wrote A.C.E.. Then, we packed up and left.

Today in Ms. Nakada's class, we walked in and wrote the agenda for the day. After we wrote our agendas down Peter read Jake's first blog for him because Jake wasn't here. We were told to read or do I Ready. Then, the class wrote down the quote of the week that was about Frederick Douglass. Ms. Nakada told us about Frederick Douglass and slavery. After, Franco and Peter told the class about their history of reading. After that, we listen to "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley. We wrote down the quote: "Once you learn to read you will forever be free" by Frederick Douglass. The question was: What is your history as a reader? The song was: "Redemption Song" by Bob Marley. Then, we left.

Today everyone walked into Ms. Nakada's class sat down and pulled out their binder reminders during the mindful minute. Once everybody finished writing their agenda, Peter was called up to the front to read his blog to the class. After he finished, we corrected his blog with minimal corrections, and I was picked.     Ms. Nakada told us to keep our binder reminder and reading journal out to be checked and graded. Everyone got Chromebooks and started/continued the iReady quiz. Some people finished, so they started to do IXL. Sergio had to go next door because he was laughing too much.

 Today, we started off taking our mindful minute while we either wrote down our agendas or did our deep breathing. After that, we made corrections on Emanuel's first blog. Then, we wrote down our books we read the previous night, in our reading journal. Then, we went over the AR quiz for School Trip for the people who were not here for it yesterday. After that, we work on our iReady quiz that we didn't finish yesterday. Lastly, we packed up to start the last period of the day.

Today, we took a minute, and we corrected Milan's blog. We put what we read last night in our reading journal.  We also did reader's workshop, and did an AR test for School Trip.  We put down that we got 10/10 which is 100%, in our reading logs.  Then, we went in our grades to see if we had anything missing. Ms. Nakada told us to log onto I-Ready.  The class watched a video on I-Ready and did the test.

After that, we opened our Reading Journals and worked on our Reading Logs and Ms. Nakada helped us decide what books we're going to read next.

HW: Enjoy the four-day weekend!


As we walked into Ms. Nakada's classroom we all sat down in our assigned seats. We all quickly took out our binder reminders and wrote down the agenda. While we all were writing down the agenda, Ms. Nakada played a youtube video for our one minute break. After the one minute break, Gianni read her blog out and we all helped correct it. After that, we went over the School Trip and the last chapter of the book. As we were trying to go over the book, Alex's magnets fell and rolled over to the other side of the classroom, but then Peter found it. After we finished the book, we filled out our last three word summary in our reading journals. After we finished writing down the three word summary, Ms. Nakada came around and graded our reading journals. Soon after that, we took the quiz on the School Trip. Okay, that's it, bye bye.
